The Overcoat

(Russia/1924—directed by Grigori Kozintzev and Leonid Trauberg) Boston’s famed Alloy Orchestra returns to the DFT with one of their most extraordinary discoveries in years. Nikolai Gogol’s classic 1842 story The Overcoat (Shinel) is the basis for this extraordinary 1924 film adaptation. FREE SCREENING.

The DIA will be open throughout the museum until 10 PM on Friday, October 5, and until 5 PM on Saturday, October 6. Prentiss Court will be open until 10:30 PM each night, and the Crystal Gallery Cafe will be serving beverages, soup, salad and Buddy’s pizza until midnight.
